Zombie RNG Arena Beginner Guide
Start Strong. Reach Wave 50+
English quick-start guide from community-proven tips: what to buy first, which class to pick, how to reroll perks, and how to upgrade weapons without wasting scrap.
Quick checklist (Wave 1-50)
- • First purchases: Chainsaw → Plasma Laser (don't buy many other weapons to avoid RNG dilution).
- • Class: Juggernaut for melee safety; Wastelander for plasma ammo (+50%) and double-upgrade perk.
- • Rerolls: Bonus perk is pure RNG—reroll until good (double-upgrade or +50% melee from Warrior).
- • Plasma Laser: keep at 1★ early; key upgrade is Clip Size, not damage.
- • Chainsaw: scales with Melee Damage only; swing/fire rate do not help.
- • Plasma Shotgun is strong but ammo-hungry; better with Wastelander.
- • Chest keys: 1–4★ drop Rusty/Wooden/Metal/Survivor/Pristine; 5★ can drop Safehouse/Relic.
- • Legendary odds: ~2.5% per roll; specific legendary ~0.83%—variance is normal.
Buy order (scrap-efficient)
- Chainsaw (1★) → upgrade to 3-5★ over time; core melee for early-mid waves.
- Plasma Laser (1★) asap; keep 1★ until late bosses.
- Class pick: Juggernaut (safer melee) or Wastelander (ammo + perk).
- Optional third slot: Pump Shotgun (high burst) if no Plasma Shotgun; Gatling only if you lack better options.
- Upgrade crowbar/early weapons only if needed for smoother starts; fewer purchases = better RNG on drops.
Tip: If you reach Wave ~40 with poor drops, consider resetting; good drops snowball faster.
Classes & perk rerolls
Recommended
- • Juggernaut: HP + fire/radiation resistance; great for chainsaw.
- • Wastelander: +50% ammo, extra slot, Lv3 double-upgrade perk.
- • Warrior perk: ~+50% melee base damage at Lv1 (reported).
- • Scientist: lure lasts ~15s at Lv3, can throw two—good to group mobs for Plasma Laser.
Reroll rules
- • Bonus perk is RNG only—no way to target; reroll until satisfied.
- • Double-upgrade perk is strong early; ammo perk helps plasma builds; melee perk is best for chainsaw.
- • Same-class perk stacking is not supported.
- • Expect to spend scrap; set a budget (e.g., 50k) per reroll session.
Weapons & upgrade priorities
Chainsaw (melee)
- • Scales with Melee Damage only.
- • Swing speed / fire rate do not increase DPS.
- • Great value at 3-5★; reliable for bosses and ammo-free DPS.
Plasma Laser
- • Base ~5k damage; damage doubles per enemy hit in a line.
- • One-shots bosses only if many zombies are aligned; gather before firing.
- • Clip Size is the key upgrade (linear to 100). Gun Damage past ~25 has low value.
- • Keep 1★ early; upgrade stars later for late bosses.
Plasma Shotgun
- • High burst; shines with stars and ammo perks.
- • Ammo-hungry—works best with Wastelander + Clip Size buffs.
- • Great follow-up if Plasma Laser fails to kill a boss.
Avoid over-investing
- • Destruction damage does not boost Plasma Laser; it helps Flamethrower / Grenade / Boomer mine.
- • Skill levels past ~70 can show diminishing or negative returns; stop Gun/Melee damage around 25-30 early.
- • Fewer purchased weapons = better odds to roll the good ones.
Drops, chests, and RNG
Chests & keys
- • 1–4★: Rusty / Wooden / Metal / Survivor / Pristine (relic chance is very low).
- • 5★: Survivor / Pristine / Safehouse / Relic.
- • Wave 50+ can drop Relic keys (not guaranteed).
Mystery box odds
- • Legendary per roll: ~2.5%.
- • Specific legendary: ~0.83%.
- • Variance is normal—some runs see zero legendaries to Wave 80.
Sample early loadouts
2-slot (safer, solo)
- • Plasma Laser (1★), Chainsaw (3-5★).
- • Class: Juggernaut (safer) or Wastelander.
- • Upgrades: Clip Size first; Melee Damage for chainsaw.
3-slot (RNG-friendly)
- • Plasma Laser + Chainsaw + Pump Shotgun (or Plasma Shotgun if lucky).
- • Class: Wastelander (ammo) or Scientist (lure for laser).
- • Perk goal: double-upgrade or +50% melee; clip buffs every time.
Always gather mobs before firing Plasma Laser. If Wave 40-50 has no good drops, reset and save scrap. Don't over-level skills past ~70 due to diminishing returns.
